*STASIS LOCAL FOODS - 467 Roncesvalles Avenue

As a frequent visitor to Roncesvalles I am very excited to learn about this shop at the northern end of the strip.

Former professional chef Julian Katz has turned his hobby of preserving locally-grown and seasonal produce into a full time gig.  His preserves have been featured at Farmer’s Markets around the city but are now also available at his store.

Stasis Local Foods also carries local produce and products by other local artisans, including local cheese (yum!).  For more details on the store and what they carry you can check out the website here.  You can also read the article about the shop at The Grid here

*THE BAZAAR (April 5-8)

Calling Toronto’s fashion-addicts!  Local designers and shop owners are uniting to bring you a four day pop up shop chock-full of local treasures.  Fresh spring wardrobe finds await.

*SPRING WEDDING CO. SHOW

For brides looking for local inspiration and talent The Wedding Co.’s Spring Wedding Show is a must-visit.  The Wedding Co. Show offers a far more intimate setting than most wedding shows and is the perfect place for brides- and grooms-to-be to connect with local creatives who want to make their wedding day unforgettable.

Click here to read about the show on The Wedding Co. website — there’s even a video of the first show to give you a taste of the atmosphere.  Tickets are $10 at the door and that includes a copy of the premiere issue of The Wedding Co. magazine.  My wedding planning days are over but I’ll be stopping by the show just to meet some of the exhibitors and see what ideas are being shared.

**If you are able to check out any of these events / shops be sure to share your finds here at The Block! **
