The past two days in Toronto have been a brief but cruel reminder of winter.
But this morning I’ve awoken to the sun shinning strong and a weather report that promises a return to warmth today.
The early spring we’re enjoying here in Southern Ontario has inspired me to participate in Dearest Nature’s Spring Pickin’s Project. Dearest Nature is a shiny new lifestyle blog all about being inspired by nature that is soon to be published as a magazine.
For this project they are inviting all their readers to get involved and submit photos of how nature is showing them it’s spring in their corner of the world. The photos do not need to be proffesional quality, they can be snapped on your iPhone.
I think it’s a brilliant idea and can’t wait to see what they collect. I’m a total amateur when it comes to photography but the two things I love taking pictures of are plants and my cats.
Here is my first submission, taken on my little Canon Power Shot point and shoot:
I have no idea what these little blue lovelies are called but they are popping up in corners all around the city.
The most exciting thing to see are all the early buds on trees! Soon our streets will be lined with green again.
Oh, and this one is not for the project but since I mentioned the cats it would be unfair not share at least one picture! (Yes, I’ve started young on my goal to be a crazy cat lady.) Here is Pepper taking a nap in the sun last week:
If you want to join in on the project (or just share pics of your pet) check out the post here and be sure comment here with a link to your blog or send me an email at email@example.com
Enjoy the sun today!
